Jacob and Chelsea’s engagement portrait session may be one of my favorites of all time. Without a doubt, the location they chose for their engagement portrait session reflected their story and their personalities so well. As a result, they were extremely comfortable and confident during their session.

Throughout the time they dated, they spent countless hours at Chelsea’s parents’ farm in Moore, SC. They loved to walk in the garden and the fields, curl up together on the front porch swing, and lie on the roof of the barn to stargaze on beautiful, clear nights. The farm is so special and holds so many precious memories for them.

Among all of the amazing spots on the property was a hidden gem in the back of the field…one they affectionately referred to as “Prayer Rock.” Chelsea told me that her grandmother would visit this beloved spot to pray over her marriage and her family. Chelsea’s grandparents would visit “Prayer Rock” to pray with one another, and individually, over the years they lived there. Chelsea’s parents kept the tradition going and, now, she and Jacob keep it alive as well. What a special place!

When Jacob was planning his proposal to Chelsea, he knew that the swing on the front porch at her parents’ farm would be the perfect spot since it was one of their favorite places. And so it was! We couldn’t have picked a better place for their engagement session! I loved getting to know this sweet couple and I can’t wait to see all of the happiness the years ahead will hold for them!
